Industry legend and head of PlayStation Indies Shuhei Yoshida will take part in a fireside chat at GI Live: London this month.
At the first live day of the event (Wednesday, September 21st), the development veteran will discuss all the things PlayStation is doing, and will do, to support the indie development community. You can book your tickets here.
He joins a bumper roster of speakers at the event, which takes place September 21st– 22nd at London Excel alongside the EGX consumer show. There will also be a digital-only meetings days on Tuesday, September 20th.
Alongside the Shuhei Yoshida session, former Nintendo marketing boss and Aurora Agency’s Dawn Paine will also be conducting a special panel on how video games have become the new battleground for major video game companies and brands, featuring Meta’s Jane Kinnaird, Ubisoft’s Mark Slaughter and Kinguin’s David Yarnton.
These talks join sessions from Hiro Capital’s Ian Livingstone, Rare’s Craig Duncan, Gina Jackson OBE, Interior/Night’s Caroline Marchal, Creative Enterprise’s Chris Filip, Xbox and Valve. Meanwhile, the GI Live Panel features the likes of Mitsu Hirakawa (Twitch), Lauren Hunter (Square Enix Collective), Cassia Curran (Curran Games Agency), Bobby Wertheim (Curve Games), and Harry Hamer (London Venture Partners).
Further speakers will be announced in the coming days.
More than 40 investors and publishers are also set to appear at the event and meet with independent creators.
Companies looking to meet developers include the likes of Valve, ID@Xbox, Hiro Capital, Square Enix Collective, Sega, Curve, Frontier, Makers Fund, Creative Enterprise, Marvelous Europe, PlayStack, Team17, TinyBuild, Tripwire Interactive, Twitch, Wired Productions, Working Capital Management, Wizards of the Coast, with many more to be announced.
