UK-based publisher Outright Games has announced a partnership with UNICEF that will see it raising funds for the charity every year with digital bundles and other activities.
The company, which specialises in family-friendly games, has committed to raising a minimum of £200,000 every year, primarily through special offers on its titles as organised with its licensing partners.
The first bundle goes live on April 28, 2023 and offers Transfomers, Peppa Pig and PJ Masks games for £19.99. All profits will go directly to UNICEF, with the charity saying it will be using the money for its Resources For Results Fund, which researches new ways to help children worldwide.
More bundles will follow later in the year, centred around one of Outright Games’ licensing partners and the popular brands and characters it has access to. The publisher is also planning other fundraising activities to boost these efforts, as well as initiatives to educate players about UNICEF’s work.
Outright Games is UNICEF UK’s first official long-term video games industry partner.
