Facebook Gaming has announced that its app will no longer be active on October 28, the change will affect both the iOS and Android versions of the program.
As reported by Eurogamer, the news of its closure comes two years after it launched on mobile devices.
Within the announcement regarding the app shutting down, the company said that the gaming division will continue to operate.
“Despite this news, our mission to connect players, fans and creators with the games they love hasn’t changed, and you’ll still be able to find your games, streamers and groups when you visit Gaming in the Facebook app,” it said.
Facebook Gaming continues to regularly draw in viewership.
During the month of July it amassed 424 million hours watched, according to StreamElements and Rainmaker.gg’s monthly State of the Stream report.
